PARC BORÉLY
The 18-hectare Parc Borély is Marseille's most popular green space. It includes an 18th-century bastide with a formal garden, as well as a 19th-century landscaped park. You can enjoy the lake, its pier, refreshment bar and restaurant. What's more, you'll have the chance to admire some exceptional trees and maybe even come across some peacocks.
CALANQUE DE MARSEILLE
The Calanque de Callelongue is the only calanque you can really reach by bus, as it takes you right into the calanque! Don't miss the Baie des Singes, Les Goudes and La Madrague. By car, it will take you around 20 minutes to get there. Take bus line 19 and then line 20, then follow the red-and-white hiking trail for around 45 minutes. You can also discover the Marseilleveyre and Podestat creeks.
SHIPPING from the port of Pointe Rouge
To get to Les Goudes, at the gateway to the Calanques, it's best to take the shuttle bus, which will take you there in just 20 minutes. The village of Les Goudes is very popular and difficult to reach by car in summer. Once there, you can walk to the Calanque de Callelongue and the Baie des Singes, which takes about 15 minutes. If you'd like to go to the Old Port, you can also take the shuttle bus, which offers a superb walk along the beaches and corniche. You'll have a breathtaking view of the island of Château d'If, the lighthouse and the Old Port, and the journey also takes around 20 minutes.
